A film about community as a form of resistance, based on real events from 1960s London, Mangrove tells the story of a group of ordinary people working together to protect a Caribbean restaurant in London from police harassment. Come for the showdowns in the streets; stay for the tense courtroom drama that challenges embedded racism in Britain's criminal justice system. A short conversation about the film will follow the screening.
