On May 11, 2025, the BYU–Hawaii Hoʻolōkahi Chamber Choir participated in the world premiere of Worldwide Requiem by composer Dr. Erica Glenn at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

The event brought together choirs from across the globe to offer music as a means of healing, reflection, and unity. The Hoʻolōkahi Chamber Choir’s participation reflects the university’s mission to promote peace and intercultural understanding through the arts.

A video segment covering the performance was produced and shared by Hawai‘i News Now, highlighting this significant milestone for the choir and the BYU–Hawaii Music Department.
